The app looks like “Car Scanner” which I use with this OBD dongle from Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/gfUUX9I

Good call. I ordered one yesterday and just having a play around with it now.

Have fun!

If you use ABRP (A Better Route Planner) the dongle can be linked to that also to provide it with real-time info from the car.

Considering one myself, mainly for ABRP use. Where is the port to plug it into?

‘Scuse the mess 😂. Just under the dash, on the right hand side (in the RHD Enyaq).

Yeah, carscanner app and its a LELink OBD dongle i had from my old LEAF, seemed to work fine.

There are zillions of pages, you can either flick thru them to find the desired info or you can create your own dashboard.

I think page 3 had the two dynamic current limits as well as the other battery temperature info.

It was cold this morning but i forgot to pick up the dongle when i left the house to take the readings :(

My suspicion/hope is that we can build a correlation between the dynamic limits and the blue regen bar. Meaning theres no need to use the app, instead you can simply look at that bar and get an estimate ballpark charging speed. With that info in hand you can then experiment what works best to "fill" the blue bar. This morning i left home with the battery at 70% and 0c. The bar was about half full. By the time i arrived at the office (40miles) the bar was completely full. Unfortunately it might not be perfect as maximum regen could well be less than maximum charging speed. Thus it might well be that the bar shows full at (say) 150a/60kw, but you'll only get full speed charging when the dynamic limit is 250-300A.

Thank you. I may just try that. I’ve read that there’s no harm in leaving them plugged in all the time, but they can slowly draw on the battery so just make sure it’s not left for months without use (good advice regardless I believe).

Also BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) is light on security isn't it? Do you have to pair it with the phone?
I've read some dongles are wide open, so anyone passing by your parked car could muck around with your car if the dongle was left plugged in unattended

/\ it did pair to the phone but I’ve since discovered that leaving it plugged in, causes the car alarm to go off a few mins after locking the car!!

Really? I left mine plugged in a few hours ago, ok so far! But I'll not leave it in again if that is likely to happen?
