Indeed. I looked at the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the tow bar options appeared more expensive and less useful.

Resurrecting an old thread here as I need to code the electrics for the Enyaq, does anyone have the details of the long coding changes required when using a generic wiring kit?

Posting here, as I couldnt find the topic with the discussion about towing consumptions with the test video etc.

Was towing a small trailer yesterday and recorded the consumption on the way. Road A to B: 12km 60km/h zone, 5km 80km/h-zone and 15km 100km/h zone. Always drove with ACC and +5 km/h on the meter.

- First A to B with no trailer, consumption around 15kwh/100km

- Then B to A with trailer, consumption at about 25 kwh/100km.

- Last A to C, additional 25km of mostly 100km/h -zone. Total BAC-trip cons at 24.8 kwh/100km.

Did not have a big load. Some long planks and stuff. Weather was not windy, temp around 20c.

Edit: pictures are in reverse order

Thank you for your info Erakettu

I was looking across the forum to see if I could find any experience of towing and efficiencies

Just received my Enyaq and need to decide soon if it will be practical to tow our caravan
The smaller trailers we use will be fine, but the caravan would be on the limit of both weight capability and potentially refuelling practicality !

I wonder if anyone has had practical experience in the 1000-1200KG range of trailers / caravans yet

Take care
Julian

Not real world, but gives a basic idea
