Hello,

I am looking at trying out this Dash Camera.
It seems like this is an American brand.

I can only see one person on the forums that’s mentioned it.

I like the OEM look.

Has anyone else got this?

Probably completely unrealistic cos wiring etc not visible in this render.

Yes - and it’s a pity Skoda didn’t put a USB socket in the back of the rear view mirror, so people can connect dash cams without wiring all over the place. The mirror has power already, because it has the auto dimming function!

Had this cam for about 3 months now easy to fit, wires into rain sensor though it is a lighter gray from trim, if you fit the option with rear cam you have to wire it into fuse box and have wires up to front cam, resolution & view is good and can download footage, and format so card on app on phone.

Nice one thanks. I heard it’s a bit lighter but I can’t even see this bit when I’m driving so I didn’t think it would be too much trouble.

Honest opinion then.. Would you recommend it or get a standard one?

You replace the panel with this one and it connects to the rain sensor.

If you want parking monitoring then I believe you need to do a standard fuse tap. Same if you add rear camera 👍🏽

As discussed in the other thread about this camera - they're designed to plug into rain sensor/mirror/camera wiring and come with a panel and plug specific to the model of car it's designed for. So fitting is very neat - though you do pay more for this convenience.

We've discussed taking power for dashcams from that area before - there's quite a lot of things under that cover: the rain sensor, the mirror's dimming panel, the camera for lane/speed limit/traffic etc sensing as well as the heater for the camera (there's a little demister element). I can't remember but I'm sure either tigertony or I posted information from the wiring diagrams of what's up there at some point.

Thanks! I’ve ordered it.
Just wanted someone else’s confirmation because there isn’t that many Enyaq reviews on it. Only obviously paid reviews which are cringe.

Could you use a USB cigarette lighter as power? It wouldn’t look at aesthetically pleasing though. But in principle, I believe it’s always live?
