Car keeps putting the brakes on at low speed
Auto Hold has been eliminated from my enquiries. It was turned off today and the car did another emergency stop. I briefly spotted the message appear on the screen. I can just about cope with it on our drive but it’s done it at least twice driving down the road with nothing visible

So yours is doing it with nothing there ? (As opposed to the situation I reported with the rubber / metal speed bump?)

If your car is automatically applying the brakes at low speeds, it could be due to a malfunctioning anti-lock braking system (ABS) or an issue with the brake system sensors. It's also possible that there's a problem with the car's electronic stability control system, if equipped. It's important to have this checked by a professional mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue safely.
When backing into the garage, I always turn off the maneuvering braking function (see pictures)
However, I do not recommend it to inexperienced drivers !
