New car delivery times

Touched down at dealer 28/5/24
Will collect in a few days
So delays at port not universal.

Been told that mine is in build with the factory by the dealer. Has been in build at factory since 21st April apparently. I'm dubious if this is actually the case as that is nearly 6 weeks and counting being built at the factory. One can only assume that something isn't right as the builds don't take this long. Mine left the factory the week before yours and I was only told by the dealer it was on its way to the UK yesterday (hopefully on one of the two boats that docked at Grimsby last night). Seems to be a few different delays people are experiencing - build weeks slips, port delays or for some coming through quickly without issue.

People are definitely recieving them so I guess all we can be do is be patient.

Well, it does seem very, very variable with no sense of order or first come etc. Im still waiting for a build week or anything at all from the dealer or Skoda. I guess its early days as its just about a month from order, but having just spent £50k you would think they might try a little more communication lol

Ordered 85x Sportline Plus in November, factory confirmed the order end of January, didn’t get a build date till April for week 20 (May 23rd). Week 20 has been and gone and heard nothing. Emailed dealer to ask if the car got built or pushed back but haven’t had any reply.

Jesus, thats awful, I would expect a factory conformation and build date within 4-8 weeks max I'm beginning to wonder if I have made a mistake ordering a Skoda. Have to wait a while and see, but I wont wait 6 months for a build date, was told 13 weeks total when i bought it (I guessed it would be a fair bit longer tho)

We ordered on 13th December 2023. Coupe Eco Suite. It is now in UK and will be with dealer next week. Original delivery was estimate June, although we expected it earlier.

How long have people waited before they get build dates? I'm pretty early on in the process, having only ordered my 85x at the end of April, but I was just wondering?

I placed my order for an Enyaq Coupe 85 Edition, (no extra Packs), with Marshalls, Harlow on 10th April 2024 with a projected delivery September. Ish.

I was advised that a build week would be known a month post order and was told my allocated build week would be Week 26, or week commencing 16th June.

We shall see.

I asked about delivery times in general and how builds were arranged and was told that everything is made by strict 'date of order placed'.

My son works in Prague and like you all, knows that Pilsen is Skoda's car plant and Emden Auto Port is where they are shipped to 3 UK receiving ports, Tyne, Grimsby and Sheerness. Depending on where the dealership located dictates the arrival port eg,. my Coupe will arrive at Sheerness.

I am so nerdy that I will use the marine shipping app to track the cars journey from Emden once it leaves the factory gates

Skoda UK tell me that their auto shipping fleet is Top Secret and cannot possibly disclose the any names of their ships, so it's likely to be a game of deduction and elimination.

I have though read on here that it is not unknown for cars sit at Emden inexplicably awaiting sailing for weeks on end.

Again, we shall see...

Ordered Mine on 5th March, have been updated that my build week is also Week 26...... having read this thread appears to be aprx 8 wk from build to delivery so hoping Mid Aug.
Will be interesting to see if we both receive them around the same time.
