My car won't charge

Hi.
I purchased the car 3 days ago.
I placed the charger into the car which it did, but when I tried again, it won't fit because a plastic clip on the left side stops it fitting.

I have tried locking and unlocking but the clip will not go away and hence it won't charge,

Can someone help?

That is the lock which holds the charger in when car is locked.
Try unlocking car again?
Failing that there is an emergency release cord hidden behind the boot lining apparently, accessed through a flap?

Locking pins are generally located at the top of the socket not the side.

Have you tried to remove it or even just moving it with a screwdriver gently incase it's a bit of debris ?

I tried to remove it gently with a screwdriver, it won't.

I thought it was the locking pin that keeps the plug in while charging.

Will contact skoda tomorrow, but concerned as I'm supposed to be travelling 200 mils tomorrow!

It's sorted I think it was linked to ohme charger. Once I activated it, the safety latch went.

Yeah. Sometimes I have the opposite problem. Occasionally I have to unlock my car twice before it lets go of the charging cable.
