Don't get too excited :-) There's no timescale for implementation & the adoption of contactless only applies to "a large proportion of new public charge points", so there will presumably still be plenty of chargers about that require an app and/or account.

I've not done much public charging (Only had the car a month) but did spend a week in the lakes and every charger I used was partnered with Electroverse - 3 of the 4 charges I did had a discount too - so not only easy, but slightly "cheaper" - though not cheap obviously!

That may be the way it goes short term?
