At the mo I drive a cpla cars but especially a Forester XT. Love it, but dont love the 30 mpg and £300+ tax. We bought the car as primarily a tow car to pull 2 ton. THAT requirement has now gone, BUT we still need a vehicle with a big boot for stuff! And to tow 500 kg a few times a month. Love the height, feel etc of the Forester etc But....
Last year we went solar and due to the National Grids incompetence and very slow ability to upgrade the cables and transformers in our area, we are limited to exporting 3.6 Kwh from a 6.4Kwh array. So I have plenty of juice remaining. Use it or lose it.
So looking to replace the Forester as close as we can.......But of course thats a hard one and we are limited with a top whack of £25k ish.....But can we???
On a separate note and this is the kicker. We only do about 2k miles a year in the Subaru, if that. Its worth £10k.....An Enyaq to "replace " it is £25k..........Yep man maths. Spending £15k to replace a car that costs £5k.............................
