Octopus intelligent go tariff pod point and enyaq
Just switched to Ecotricity as got totally fed up with trying to get Octopus intelligent go to work. I counted over 20 attempts, reloads of the app and everything else but always got the oops there is a problem message. Octopus blamed the car, Skoda blamed Pod Point and Pod Point blamed Octopus and Skoda.
As a newbie I’m confused. I have a nearly new 80 on order to be picked up in May and was about to order a Hypervolt charger.
Does this mean if I want use intelligent Octopus I need to use a charger that is supported by Octopus, that Renan link up via the Enyac. Looking on their site I can only find Ohme, Zappi and Wallbox as supported by Octopus.
Is this correct, and which is recommended - Wallbox seems to have lot of bad reviews on Trustpilot whereas the others get good ratings.

This seems a bit odd, considering there's a Skoda / Octopus Intelligent Go promo... https://octopus.energy/skoda/Bd71 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 1:22 pm I asked Skoda this question, here's their reply
Thank you for your email.
We wanted to inform you about a recent development concerning the usage of energy apps, such as Octopus and Eevee, with Skoda vehicles through our application.
Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming volume of information requests and extractions, our system has reached its limit capacity. As a result, our application is no longer able to handle the integration of third-party energy apps, leading to a "limit by VIN was reached" quota.
Regrettably, this means that the compatibility between Skoda vehicles and these energy apps is no longer possible within our system. We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption to your experience.
While it may not be possible to use both apps simultaneously due to technical constraints, you can still access each app independently. This means that you can use the Skoda app exclusively without the Octopus integration and vice versa.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Octopus response after sending them this email was that I could still use Octopus Go and set my ev charger via the app to their 4 hour cheaper overnight slot. Works a treat but pay slightly more per kWh than the Intelligent Go and the day rate has increased but still worth it for me.
Best regards,

Just trying to setup my new Enyaq iV vRS with IO and I'm experiencing the same issue.
Octopus customer service have been no help and seem oblivious to the issue. Has anyone else had it confirmed that VW/Skoda are blocking this so I can stop wasting my time battling with it

I think many already did here, myself included. The issue has nothing to do with Octopus though, therefore they cannot help - it lies with Skoda, who provided the API, which doesn't work / is useless.snoopw wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:41 am Just trying to setup my new Enyaq iV vRS with IO and I'm experiencing the same issue.

85x Sportline Plus with sunroof and 21" tyres. April 2024
They're not blocking it.
I've managed to set up my 2024 85 Sportline on IO and a Pod Point.
It's not exactly reliable though. It seems to 'miss' charge sessions in the early hours of the morning regularly, so I'll often wake to a c.65% SOC rather than the 80% I was expecting.

This is the response I got today from Skoda Customer Services
Thank you for contacting Škoda UK. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulty linking your Octopus account to your My Škoda app.
Kindly note that I have contacted our Škoda Digital Support Team for further clarity on this. I spoke to Alviro, who has advised that you will not be able to link your Octopus account to your Škoda app as this will not work. This can only be linked with the Powerpass account.
The Škoda app no longer allows this as it is not available due to it having caused many issues prior. You will be able to use Octopus separately, but not through the Škoda app.

For anyone else who has been struggling with this, I attempted the integration again yesterday and have successfully connected.
Some of the prompts appeared slightly different so whether Skoda and Octopus have been working on this in the background who knows?
Unfortunately my first overnight charge did not happen, I'm guessing I got something wrong in want seems a quirky triggering procedure, so will give it another go over the weekend.
