Bear in mind what else is in the pack - I believe it is the one with acoustic dampening as well. The build your own section on Skoda’s uk site shows all the packs and their contents. When you start this by selecting the trim, it is also worth clicking on the small i button and going through what is included by default.

I looked at adding the convenience package to my order, I had a check when I saw the additional acoustic damping "enhanced travel comfort (privacy glass and acoustic side windows) ". I had to google it and apparently is any laminated glass . Therefore its a free by product of laminated privacy glass. Creative copy/wording from the marketing team at Skoda. They could also have included "stay dry technology" when windows are up and its raining outside

Not sure what your point is? The privacy glass is only on the windows behind the B pillar, so I would say that it's entirely justifiable marketing for them to say the front side windows have additional noise suppression if they're not the same glass as standard. It's separate from the privacy glass as Skoda don't fit that to the front windows, but my understanding is that the front windows are the thicker glass if you get the convenience package (basic or plus), just without the tint of the privacy-style glass fitted to the rear.

I have this pack and it's a very quiet car. My commute is along a dual carriageway and all you can here is the tyre noise.
I should point out that I haven't driven one without the pack so don't know how it compares.

I can tell you that there is no privacy at all I had to get this for the easy open tailgate and just like my last kodiaq it was tinted within days . Not sure about this acoustic glass doesn’t look and thicker and doors sound tinny compared to kodiaq so no extra dampening in doors either

Do you mean you had an after-market tint added to already-tinted windows (which weren’t dark enough / private enough for your liking ?) I’m considering doing the same to my Enyaq, so quite interested to know where to get this done (or where to avoid!!).

I wasn’t prepared to pay over £700 to have it included on my Enyaq (not interested in the keyless entry which comes in the same pack as tinted rear windows).

Yes you could clearly see into the boot and back seats so went off to the tinting firm straight away . Maybe they should change the name to something else rather than privacy which it clearly is not …. No pun intended

I think the tint is fine. Be careful not to over tint is you want to drive abroad, especially with the rear window tint.

Indeed, there is a legal limit in the UK too. Not sure what it is, but if someone over-tints and later on has an accident, illegal tinting might be something they’d be pulled up on.
