Hi All,
Apologies if it has been covered before, did try a search without much luck.
Has anyone bought one of the adapters that lets you watch YouTube, Netflix and Disney+ on screen?
I’ve had a look on Amazon but the choice is vast and I thought I’d ask on here to see if anyone has had any luck using one, needs to be Apple iOS compatible.
At the moment I watch on my phone screen, but it would be nice to see on the big screen.
Thanks.
Mike.

I think, this guy is the best at testing similar things (I have an ux999 but I bought it 4 years ago) :

I bought a CarABC adaptor that runs Android through Carplay on the car.

I have managed to get all the usual apps working well, and when watching it's as full screen as I think you can get on the Enyaq. The top bar with the time etc, and bottom bar with heating controls remain, but it's a great display.

BBC iPlayer seems to show slightly more border than Disney + but it's great when your waiting for a charge to finish.

Possibly a daft question but do you have to launch netflix for example on your phone to cast to the screen or is the netflix etc icons already on the cars screen?

With the Car ABC unit I have its all on the screen, similar to what's on your phone. It's not cast from the phone at all.

I only use my phone as a WiFi hot-spot. You can put a SIM card into the unit so it essentially works as a stand alone mobile phone, but that means you'd need an extra phone contract. What you see as the desktop in the image is on the CarABC unit itself.
