hi all.
does anyone have any tips on how to open the boot with your foot using the under bumper sensor.
it’s very temperamental and i can’t figure out where is best to wave my foot.
doesn’t work very well after a couple of days use.

I saw from somewhere else and this seems to work for us.
Put your foot under the centre then move it to the right side. Always works apart from when someone turned the setting off on the menu.

I have 90% success with putting my foot in level with the left hand edge of the number plate, about a hand’s width down from the plastic under bumper, then moving it to the right.

I've had 100% success with pressing the button on the tailgate 😂🤣

I didnt spec the auto-tailgate, seemed pointless to me. However having had a loan car with it, one thing i did find was i used auto close all the time, much easier than hauling on the handle.

One thing the enyaq does which annoys me, is the "boot" button on the remote doesnt actually open the boot. Does this change on models with auto-tailgate?

On my old audi, holding the boot button pops the boot open so you just need to lift it. On the Skoda, all it seems to do is "enable" the button on the tailgate while the car is locked.

Yeah if you have the auto electric boot the button on the key opens it all the way up.

Handy tip - don’t stand too close to the car - if it senses your too close it won’t open to save getting you being hit in the face

I aim for behind the car, not under it

Also: after moving your foot, count to three before deciding it’s not going to open. There is a slight delay whilst it determines your foot has gone. If you waggle it back dnd forth it won’t open 😃
