Morning, I am at a loss with this
Anyone actually able to charge using Octopus Intelligent Go?
I've been on the email and phone to Octopus daily for over 2 months.
All i get back from them is that I need to uninstall, reinstall, make sure there is no other scheduling etc.
This has all been done, but as soon as you plug the charge cable in when on Octopus Intelligent Go it says its not plugged in.
So i am only able to charge on the non smart setting, which after a month will charge at normal rate and not as cheap rate.
There must be a solution.
Looking forward to seeing if anyone is charging on smart tariff with Octopus
Anyone actually able to charge using Octopus Intelligent Go?
Been working fine for me and many others for months. I have it controlling my Zappi charger not the car though.

Intelligent Octopus Go has been working with my Enyaq since Octoper 2023 with very few problems. Every problem that I have experienced has been due to Skoda servers or car communications.
The "Not plugged in" status shown in the Octopus app, in the current version, occurs if the most recent information that Octopus received from the Skoda servers is that:
the cable is not plugged in and locked OR
the car is not at the position reported when it enrolled with Intelligent Octopus Go.
When you plug in, initially the status light on the car should flash white while the car and charger set up the charge and then turn green when charging starts. The infotainment screen should show that the car is charging with a button that allows you to stop charging and the MySkoda app should show the cable as being plugged in and the car charging. Do you get the correct status shown in the app? Is the car position correctly reported in the app? Octopus should be able to detect that the car is plugged in shortly after this. It may take nearly 30 minutes although it is typically about 3 minutes for me.
Charging continues until either it is stopped manually or Octopus has received information from the Skoda servers which shows that the car is charging at the registered location and sends an instruction to stop. When charging stops, intially the status light should go to solid white and a while later it should go off. Stopping manually should not prevent the correct status being received by Octopus from the Skoda servers and Octopus creating a charging schedule. I normally stop the charging manually on the infotainment screen to minimise the peak rate electricity used. Typically I use < 0.025p worth of peak rate electricity. The status shown on the infotainment charging screen and in the app should be that the car is plugged in but it is not charging. If you plug in and then manually stop the car charging, is the status reported on the infotainment screen and in the app correct. Is the charging port status light correctly showing solid white or off? It should not be showing red or flashing white.
If the app does not show the car plugged in and at the correct location then the problem is unlikely to be due to anything under Octopus control. I know some people who have experienced problems with the charger to car interface getting into an error condition when the charging session is terminated by the car in response to manually stopping the charge. IT may be necesary to contact the charger company or Skoda to resolve this.

I received this information from Octopus and after many many months of intermittent charging I am able to charge with no problems and on the Smart rate. Sometimes the charging even starts earlier than the 23.30 smart time and at the lower rate.
Hi Phil,
To resolve the issues you have experienced with Intelligent Octopus Go, please follow the steps below:
⦿ Click the profile button in the top corner of the app’s dashboard.
⦿ Select ‘Intelligent Octopus Settings’.
⦿ Scroll down and tap ‘Disconnect Car’ and confirm.
⦿ This will disconnect your device and log you out of the app.
Once this is complete, you can then go through the onboarding process again, instead integrating via your charger, which is detailed below. Do not worry, you will still be on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff.
⦿ From the home screen of the app, tap 'Get started' under 'Intelligent Octopus for EVs'.
⦿ Select 'Charger'.
⦿ Select your EV make and model.
⦿ Read and accept the tariff terms and conditions.
⦿ Login to your EV portal.
⦿ Complete a short test charge.
Please ensure that your zappi charger is set in accordance with the "Zappi Integration" guidelines available to view under the "Compatibility and Configuration Summary" here: https://support.myenergi.com/hc/en-gb/a ... Octopus-Go
Please let us know how you get on with this.
Kind regards,
Josh W
Hope this is of some use.

Mines been fine up until a recent OTA update and ongoing issues with the ŠKODA services. I use an Ohme home pro charger and for a few days thought it wasn’t working then realised it takes about 10-15 minutes to sync up. The process seems to be:
- I plug in and approve connection for the charger.
- The charger starts charging for a few minutes and the ŠKODA app says I’m plugged in and charging
- Octopus App starts saying smart charging under the devices and stops the charge
- Octopus App then states schedule.
Hi Craig
I’ve only been trying with IOG for 2 weeks and not had a charge yet! In trying to get a solution, I’ve also been in contact with myenergi (Zappi) charger and MySkoda. I thought it was Octopus problem but as I tried other things like scheduling charge on car, that didn’t work either and therefore I contacted Skoda again and they have said there is a fault.. though no solution yet!
It was interesting reading SomersetPip comments above so I might be trying again when my wife comes back with car!
Have Entaq 2021 iV80 with Zappi charge. Believed I was on software 3.2 though app says its 3.0. Would love to know if upgrade to 3.7 (planned for early December) would be beneficial.
Will keep you posted on any solutions I find.

I've had my Zappi charger for a few days. I was already an Octopus customer. I couldn't get past test charge stage as Octopus app got stuck when I logged into Skoda and tried to 'connect'. I gave up on linking car and linked Zappi instead and it worked straight away and put me on IOG tariff.
Both nights I got a charging schedule showing on Octopus app within minutes of plugging in. Both nights no charging started when due to. When I walk up to car and get the leaving home lights come on it starts charging immediately. Still locked. When I go back in the house it stays charging.
I'm getting schedules with evening slots but I don't fancy walking outside when it's due to start in the early hours.
It seems the car needs to be woken up to start the charge. The myenergi app had message at top of screen saying EV was not accepting charge (can't remember exact wording) with an egg timer icon above the car on the animation.
I think I'll switch to just scheduling during 7p time and see if Octopus get the hump.
Hopefully my experience might help someone work out what is going on!

I was expecting problems when my car was upgraded from 3.1 to 3.7 a few months ago, but actually, IOG with Zappi has been working fine in every combination I've used it from 100% solar only in the early days before I was with Octopus to now when we are 100% IOG. Always works fine.

Did you link Octopus to the car or the Zappi?ChangoMutney wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 11:16 am I was expecting problems when my car was upgraded from 3.1 to 3.7 a few months ago, but actually, IOG with Zappi has been working fine in every combination I've used it from 100% solar only in the early days before I was with Octopus to now when we are 100% IOG. I've found a charging schedule (that I didn't set up) on the Zappi app so deleted it - maybe it'll now work tonight without me going outside to wake up the car.
We get solar next week so that'll be the next test.
