Alright guys. Resurrecting this discussion.

Costco is doing some sweet deals on Bridgestone tyres.

Bridgestone Weather Control is £100 for a tyre after discount. Anyone recommend this? I hear about cross climate but they are £200 a pop.

There’s a direct comparison between the two on tyrereviews.com:
“ n conclusion the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO was better in wet braking, wet braking - cool, wet handling [s], wet handling [km/h], wet circle, tyre weight, wear, value, price and fuel consumption tests, whereas the Michelin CrossClimate 2 was better in dry braking, dry handling [s], dry handling [km/h], straight aqua, curved aquaplaning, snow braking, snow traction, snow traction, snow handling [s], snow handling [km/h], snow circle, snow slalom, subj. comfort, noise, noise, rolling resistance and abrasion tests.”

I have cc2s but it looks like the Bridgestones are better unless you get more regular snow (I do not). They are both very close on most tests though. The only downer for an EV is higher rolling resistance on the Bridgestones. £100 Les per tyre though!

Current set are Bridgestone Turanza which is factory fitted.

So I expect the rolling resistance to be similar if it is weather control?
