And the cars wifi only works when the "ignition" is switched on too, turns off a few minutes after you exit the car.
I said it was a daft question  I’ll go and put my brain back in gear - or have another drink!

App is working (when I say working, I am of course using ‘working’ in the loosest sense) however car hasn’t connected to all day. Just says unavailable. And signal strength next to the little world icon is blank and dark gray.

Anyone else?

Update
After being passed around by Skoda UK. Eventually spoke to service dept. at another branch of my dealer. (My branch doesn’t have any trained techs for Enyaq)
Has suggested a factory reset, if that doesn’t work, then into the garage it goes for an entire day! Oh joy.

Have you tried what I suggested earlier in this thread? Take fuse 19 out for a minute or two, put it back in and turn the car on then wait 10 minutes. That works for many people when the car loses its 4G connection.

As luck would have it, today was dashcam fitting day (not by me, too scared, more on that in separate post).

4g all working again when I picked up the car, guess they must have disconnected power in the workshop.

:)

Heh - yeah, all pulling fuse 19 does is disconnect power to the communication module. So if power was removed for another reason it'd have the same effect.

Useful to know what to do if it happens again though - we still don't quite know why some cars lose the connection and other don't, but a reasonable theory is that if you're in a weak signal area (for Vodafone), and it fails to get a signal after a certain number of tries it stops trying so often. So even if you drive to a better signal area it won't necessarily try whilst you're there unless you stay there for a while (longer than it took for me to do my shopping at least). But pulling the fuse forces it to search for a signal right now, and once it's got it it'll keep it alive.

Good to know. As Vodafone is shocking here...

Glad I saw your post... many thanks.

So had the same fault on mine with the "could not open connection status" message. Used the pull fuse 19 fix as suggested by Rich R on this thread. Very easy to do as the cover of the fuse box pulls off easily and there is a fuse puller in the front fuse box under the bonnet. Works a treat and all back on line again so thanks to Rich R on here who posted the fix. I would like to find out how to stop it occuring but at least it's an easy fix.
