Reversing lights, timed charge, interference.

Hi all. I have had my Enyaq 80 lounge since 7th Oct now. Love the car, a few software upgrades might get it right eventually.
A few random Qs.
How many reversing lights do you have? My semi rural location is dark and I had a moan at my dealer about the dim reversing lights. Worse than a TOCH lamp. My daughter then said only the drivers side one was working. Went to dealer who said near side unit was in effect a dummy with no light elements. Sales manager went to confirm this by showing me his, delivered just after Xmas however on his both units work.
Has anybody been able to successfully use the timed charge function in locations? If so how? Dealer said what I was trying was correct, then went off to do a test on their demo car during a day. Silence since.
May not be the correct place here. I have an 80 and a Zappi V2 charger combination. Using charger gets round timer issue, above, successfully. However if I try and set the timed charge up on the phone app in the evening it will continually change back from timed boost to manual. Speaking to Zappi support it came to light that there was a known interference issue between the app and my home CH control system, in this case Honeywell Ecohome, which uses wireless controlled Thermostatic radiator valves, gives time vs temp profile for each room. Another system was said to have same problem. Anybody else got same problem, and how might you have fixed it?
Lastly has anybody found an EV charger which allows you to use the EV as a house battery and as req'd take energy back out of the EV into the house?

I can’t really help on the other issues but regarding the reversing lights, one may be normal, depending on what type of lighting system you have.

The reversing lights differ with the Matrix LED onces which are fine.
The phone app sets up the cars charging system which is very buggy especially with 7KW chargers. Hopefully the coming update fixes it.
Use only the charger for now.
I think on your last point, VW want to supports car to grid (I think from mid 2022). Perhaps they can support it by software on produced vehicles.
I think it is a bit early as pilots are only just starting.

With regard to car to house power transfer. I thought I had read on one forum that one charger was able to do this. Since posting this morning I have been sent a link by my son from the BBC news saying that Octopus are setting up a study with the grid (I assume ) to enlist EV drivers to take part in a pilot. Article talks about payment for car to house during peak hours eg 4 to 7pm and getting back surplus energy in times of low demand.

The Leaf can do V2G because it uses the Chademo connector. I don't think that there is developed standard for CCS yet. I think that I've read that manufacturers hope to introduce V2G sometime next year, so I'd assume that the Enyaq can't do it as yet.

According to EVM on YouTube, the latest MG ZS EV can do V2L, and it has CCS charging. But only to 2kW load.

V2L is not the same as V2G - it's providing a 230V 50Hz AC supply at usually 2-3kW. The inverter doesn't have to be particularly accurate at the frequency or shape of the waveform. On some cars it uses the Type 2 connector only, by having the BMU disconnect the normal AC-DC charger and connecting a DC-AC inverter in going in the opposite direction to a specialised adapter - or there's simply a standard mains socket mounted in the boot or rear seat area permanently connected.

V2G requires generating proper sinusoidal 50Hz that's synchronised with the grid - in the same way as a solar panel grid interface does. Usually for CCS applications, this is done by a specialised EVSE that takes the DC connection to the battery (ie 400V DC), and uses that to derive the mains voltage that can be fed to the incoming electricity supply of the building. Think of it more like connecting solar panels on your house to the grid.

It was part of the Chademo standard, but not initially part of the Type 2/CCS standard (though it is now I think). Either way, you'll need a different EVSE to use it, because it needs to connect to the DC CCS port, not just the Type 2 AC port.

Indeed. However, it was unclear what was being talked about here.
Vehicle to House, through the charger, implies needing V2G - not V2L, which would require a separate mains feed isolated from the grid.

Wife's main grumble is the reversing lights, as we too are rural based.
Wish now we'd spec'd the camera.

My iV 60 has the optional camera which is useless at night and yes the single reversing light is correct. I complained to my dealer in early September - they adjusted the settings but almost no improvement. I’ve been in touch with Skoda customer service who would only say it’s ok as it is ( based on my video showing how awful it is). My dealer has since agreed that the camera is useless at night and admitted he has had another complaint (and there is at least one more on here - as well as mine previously documented) so he agreed he would champion my cause with Skoda. That was weeks ago and he now fails to return my calls - as before! The car is great but the camera is c**p. My VW Passat had a camera that made reversing at night look like daylight so the technology exists within the VW group!
